Im concerned about the frequency of cracked manifolds on Ram trucks with Hemi engines. It seems like a common issue, but Im wondering what the underlying cause might be.

Is it a design flaw; a manufacturing issue, or something else? Has anyone found a solution to prevent or fix this problem?

Thinking about throwing some polyurethane engine mounts to see if that helps reduce engine movement and stress on the manifolds.

I just had both of mine swapped out on my 2021 last week. The tech told me the new ones come with some upgraded bolts or mounting to stop this from happening again. I swapped mine out at 40k miles coz they were totally worn out, but honestly, the issues started creeping up around the 34k-36k mile mark.

Glad to hear they’re trying to improve it with upgraded bolts! Do you think the mounting issue could be tied to engine vibrations or heat cycling? Maybe that’s whats causing the cracking. I’ve read some people have had success with using polyurethane mounts to give the engine a bit more stability; but I wonder if that’s a long-term fix or just a quick-and-dirty solution.
