I really miss the spray-in bed liner I had on my old F-150. I need to find a way to protect the bed of my new Ram. I tried using a 2x6 board to fill those slots, but it was too short and I ended up scratching the paint. Lumber is so expensive now, I don't want to waste any more wood.

Does anyone know of a cheap and easy way to cover those slots without damaging the paint?

I also loved my old back-flip bed cover on my F-150. It kept things dry and secure. I'm thinking about getting one for the Ram, but I'm looking for an affordable option.

For now, I just use a plastic bed mat when I need to haul something, but I take it out otherwise.

I made a little piece of wood to help protect the bed of my truck. I cut it at the same angle as the bed, but it still touches a little. I put some tape on it so it wouldn't scratch the bed. It works pretty good, but it still leaves a few marks. Not a big deal though, it's a truck bed!

It sounds like you're trying to find some good ways to protect your Ram’s bed without breaking the bank! Have you considered using a rubber bed mat or a custom-fit liner to cover those slots? That might give you a more durable, low-cost solution than the wood. Also for a back-flip bed cover, have you checked out any budget-friendly options online or at local accessory shops? You might find a similar style that fits your budget...
