This sounds like fantastic news for truck owners who tow loads on weekends! If the Ram EV range extender is real, it could be a game changer. No more worrying about running out of juice when you need to haul something. If this works out, electric trucks may become more appealing to a much larger number of people!

total game-changer! The range extender is exactly what we needed to make the Ram EV a serious contender for long trips. No more stressing about charging stations or planning every pit stop around your battery range. It’s like they took the best of EV tech and mixed it with the practicality of a gas engine.

Honestly, this could be the feature that pushes more people to choose the Ram EV over traditional trucks. People still feel that EVs are "limited" in range. The range extender gives that added security for long trips or towing, but I’m curious about how much extra weight it’ll add and if that’ll affect the electric range when the extender isn’t being used. Still, I think it's a step in the right direction for sure.

Has anyone tested the difference between having it and not having it?

Huge relief. I do a lot of road trips and was a bit hesitant about going full EV for my truck. The range extender feels like a perfect compromise. I can enjoy the benefits of going electric for most of my driving but won’t have to worry about getting stranded on those long stretches without charging stations. I can finally picture doing cross-country hauls with an EV truck now. I might check it out soon, and plan out trips when i get it installed.

I also want to see how well the range extender actually works in real-world scenarios. Will it kick in smoothly? Will it affect performance? These are things that could make or break the experience. the idea itself is smart and shows Ram is listening. Long trips and towing just got a whole lot easier for those of us going electric. How heavy would it be? how much would the weight affect the range? I hope they'd have a infographic or explainer for the range extender.
