I really don't like the Rough Country rear bumper that came with my 2019 1500 when I got it. I would much rather have the original gloss black bumper instead of this matte black one that is already rusting. Before completing the truck, I had requested that the dealer repair it, but the original bumper didn't fit correctly when it arrived. Could the factory Rough Country bumper not align because the prior owner used different brackets? Did the dealer not want to handle my request, or would aftermarket bumpers require different brackets?

You could ask a reputable body shop for help. They might know how to fix the bumper or suggest a different one. If you want the original bumper, make sure you get all the right parts. You can check with a Ram dealership or an aftermarket parts store.

Thanks man. I’ll check with a body shop and make sure I have all the necessary parts.
