Stellantis just announced that CEO Carlos Tavares has resigned, effective immediately. Looks like John Elkann is taking the reins for now while they find a permanent replacement.

The UAW is obviously thrilled about this. They've been pretty vocal about Tavares' management style, or lack thereof. They're hoping this is a sign of better things to come, with new leadership that actually respects the workers and invests in American manufacturing. This definitely throws a wrench in the negotiations, that's for sure. I wonder how this will impact the potential for a strike.

What do you guys think? Is this a good thing for Stellantis?

It's tough to predict how this will unfold, honestly. New leadership could either be a win for workers or just another spin on the same old thing. Personally, I’m more curious about how this shakes up Stellantis' EV plans moving forward.
