Just joined the forum because I’m seriously considering the Ram 1500 EV. I currently have a 2014 Ram and a 2010 Ram 1500 Laramie, but I’m ready to go all-electric.

I originally had a Cybertruck reservation, and Tesla recently invited me to purchase the Foundation Edition… for $102K. No test drive, no dealership experience, just buy it sight unseen.

That didn’t sit well with me, so I canceled my reservation.

Now, I’m looking at the Ram EV, which seems like a more practical truck for my needs. From what I’ve read, it could offer better storage and usability than the Cybertruck.

For those following Ram’s EV plans. How does its storage and practicality compare to other EV trucks? What range and towing capacity are we expecting? Any updates on final pricing and availability?

Sounds like you dodged a bullet with the Cybertruck pricing! Tesla’s ‘take it or leave it’ approach isn’t for everyone. The Ram 1500 REV is shaping up to be a solid EV truck, but there are still a few unknowns. Final pricing hasn’t been announced, but expect it to start around $58-65K. Will it keep a true 14,000-lb towing rating, or will real-world numbers be lower like other EV trucks? Charging infrastructure – Ram says it’s partnering with charging networks, but will it be as seamless as Tesla’s Supercharger access? That said, it looks like Ram is staying true to its truck roots, which should make it a more appealing choice for longtime Ram owners like yourself.
