So I’m curious - why doesn’t Ram put Apple CarPlay or Android Auto in their trucks? Seems like it’d be way more user-friendly compared to their Uconnect system they’ve got going on. Anyone else feel the same, or are you ride-or-die for Uconnect?

CarPlay and Android Auto just make everything so much smoother, from maps to music. I’ve always found Uconnect a bit clunky in comparison, especially for stuff like navigation. If RAM added CarPlay or Android Auto, I think it’d be a game-changer for usability.

I get what you’re saying, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto feel so intuitive, especially when you’re used to your phone’s interface. But I think RAM might stick with Uconnect because they can customize it more and keep control over the features. Uconnect does offer some unique stuff (like integrated vehicle settings), but it’s a bit of a learning curve if you’re used to other systems. Personally, I’d love the option for CarPlay or Android Auto just for the smoother navigation and voice control, but I get why RAM wants to push their own platform. Guess it comes down to personal preference! 🤷‍♂️

I hear you, but honestly, I’ve grown pretty fond of Uconnect! It’s not as flashy as CarPlay or Android Auto, but I like how integrated it feels with the truck’s settings. Once you get used to it, there’s a lot you can customize in Uconnect that you can’t with CarPlay. That said, I wouldn’t mind if RAM gave us the option to switch, just for those who prefer their phone’s setup. More choices would be awesome! 💪

I was a CarPlay fan before switching to RAM. Uconnect takes some getting used to, for sure! CarPlay feels more natural, especially with maps and voice-to-text. My old car had it, and it felt like an extension of my phone, so I was pretty bummed when RAM didn’t offer it. That said, I’ve come to appreciate Uconnect’s deeper integration with vehicle settings. Still, I think it’d be a win-win if they offered both options! ✌
