So I’m having a bit of a light crisis with my Ram 1500 - y’know, the dash lights, door controls, ceiling switches, all that jazz. They’re so dim they make a candle look bright, even when I max out the settings. Anyone else been in this boat or got any bright ideas (pun totally intended)? Could really use a hand with this - thanks a ton!

I tried to tweak the dimmer wheel PCB, but unfortunately, it didn't work out as planned.

yeah the dim dash lights are a common issue. in low-light conditions, and it’s definitely annoying when you’re driving at night. I had to use my phone lights at times, whenever I need to diagnose something inside. 😖

Have you tried checking the dimmer switch on the left side of the steering wheel? It’s easy to overlook, but sometimes you need to give it an extra click or two to get the brightness up. If that’s maxed out and you’re still having issues, there might be a software update that could fix it, worth asking your dealership about. hope you get it sorted! 💪

Ah that annoyance. 😵 I had the same issue on my 2021 Ram 1500, and I found a little hack that worked wonders. If adjusting the dimmer switch isn’t doing much, you might want to try swapping out some of the interior bulbs for higher-intensity LEDs. It’s a pretty simple mod you can do yourself with a bulb kit, just be careful not to go too bright, or it can get distracting at night.

Also, check your cabin light settings in the infotainment system. Some people reported a slight boost after tweaking them. Good luck

the dim dash lights can be frustrating. I’ve seen this happen on a few Ram 1500s. it seems like an inherent design flaw with the brightness settings. If the dimmer is already maxed out and you’re still in the dark (literally), it might be a deeper electrical or software issue. 😓

try visiting the dealership to see if they can update the system or check if it’s a wiring problem. In the meantime, you could install LED strips or brighter aftermarket bulbs as a quick fix. 🤷‍♂️

That’s a tricky one! 🤔 I’ve noticed the dash lights on my Ram 1500 can get pretty dim too, especially on cloudy days or during early mornings. One thing that helped was checking if there’s an auto-dimming feature enabled somewhere in the infotainment settings, sometimes it can automatically adjust based on external light conditions.

Also, make sure your headlight settings aren’t influencing the brightness. 😎 If you’re up for a deeper dive, there are some aftermarket light upgrades you could try to give it that extra glow.
