I'm dealing with a major headache here. My 2021 Ram 1500's transmission just decided to quit on me, and now the dealer is saying I need to shell out nearly $9k for a new one. Like, seriously?! Are you kidding me? Anyone else dealt with Ram Cares on this kind of thing before? I’m so fed up and honestly just feeling completely ripped off.

Sorry to hear about your transmission troubles! You might wanna swing by a local transmission shop and get a quote - they usually have way better rates than the dealerships. Once your warranty is up, you don’t have to stick with the dealer. Those independent shops usually deliver the same quality service without breaking the bank.

$9k is a lot man! I read somewhere that transmission can be rebuilt, and this could be cheaper than a replacement. Has anyone done this?

Yeah, $9k is steep, and transmission rebuilds can definitely save some cash.
I have seen people get rebuilds done for around $3k to $4k depending on the shop and how bad the dmg is. But, nowadays, you never know, until you check it...

Yeah, $3k to $4k sounds way more manageable than $9k for a replacement.
