I'm having a real headache with my Bighorn. The front park sensors have never worked right, and the dealer wanted a ridiculous $600 to fix just one sensor! So, I decided to be a DIY hero and replaced the shorted sensor myself with an OEM part.

But guess what? They still don't work!

I'm wondering if these sensors need some kind of special calibration or reset after you replace one. Has anyone else run into this problem? Did you have to take it to the dealer to get them working again? Any tips or tricks would be a lifesaver right now!

It doesn't need calibration or a reset. The issue might be with the wiring or a short elsewhere in the system, and the harness could be the problem.

That sounds super annoying! I'd also say take a look at the sensor itself to make sure it’s all hooked up right. sometimes the replacement part can be a dud, so it could be worth swapping it out for another one just to be safe.

You could try calling an off-road shop, they might have some answers.

By thw way do you have a grill guard? I am thinking that if you have one, then this might be the one causing the issue.
