Hey y’all!
My Ram 1500’s throwing a fit and the check engine light came on with code 219A. Now I’m kinda freaking out about whether I’ll make it home without turning into a roadside snack. The dash is showing that the trans temp, oil temp, oil pressure, oil level, and battery are all good, but I’m still scratching my head about what’s going on. The truck’s only got 6,500 miles on it. Anyone got any clues if it’s cool to keep rolling or should I call a tow? Thanks!

If that pesky engine light pops on, it’s usually something emissions-related, probably a wonky sensor acting up. If everything else seems fine - oil pressure, temp, and how the car’s running, no need to panic just yet. That said, it could mess with your smog test, so it’s probably a good idea to give the dealer a shout just to be safe!

Sounds like that P219A code is linked to the air-fuel mix on one side of the engine, could be a sensor thing or even a fuel injector acting up. If the truck's running smooth, you’re probably good to make it home, but I’d still get it looked at soon just to play it safe.

Is that maintenance light flashing, blinking, or just staying on? And when was the last time you changed the oil in your Ram 1500? Also, what's the mileage on it roughly?
