Will the Harman Kardon sound system be retained on the upcoming electric Ram truck? Feedbacks from Ram owners on the Harman Kardon audio system have been mixed based on what i read. While some praise its quality, others object to the subwoofer's placement. How does the HK typically perform? I'm thinking about reserving an EV Ram soon and am unsure whether I should upgrade the speakers or keep the stock system (if Ram will still use it)

Hope they will change it this time. Even though my car only has a 10-speaker Alpine system, I find that it produces richer sound than my friend's Ram HK setup. It works perfectly for my listening preferences.

That's good to know. I've heard a lot of good things about the Bowers & Wilkins Diamond surround. If I'm not satisfied with the HK system, I might try it out.

I’ve had the Harman Kardon in my Ram 1500, and honestly, I’m a fan! The sound is crisp, and for most of my drives, it’s perfect. That said, the subwoofer placement can feel a little off at times, especially when cranking up bass-heavy tracks. If you're all about that deep bass, upgrading might be worth it. But for daily driving and road trips, I think the HK system is solid. 😎 They have mods for them as well, better to ask those detailers if they can order one for you.

I’ve been driving with the Harman Kardon setup for a couple of years, and while it’s pretty impressive on balance. I mostly use it for podcasts or classic rock. BUT it’s not without its quirks. the subwoofer placement can get weird, sometimes it feels like the sound is bouncing around the cabin unevenly. If you’re an audiophile, you might want to consider an upgrade just for better sound staging. That being said, it really depends on what you’re listening to and how picky you are! 🤷‍♂️

I’ve read similar mixed reviews about the Harman Kardon system, and I totally get your concerns. From a technical perspective, HK tends to perform well on clarity and highs, but the subwoofer placement under the rear seat limits the deep bass range. It’s great for casual listeners but not for bass lovers. If you’re into immersive sound, an aftermarket upgrade with custom subwoofer placement might be the way to go—especially if you plan on keeping the truck long-term. 👍 Either way, I’d test it out first before making any decisions!

I’ve heard a lot of mixed feedback too. some people love the HK system, and others are left wanting more. Personally, I find it decent for most genres, but I do wish they had placed the subwoofer differently. The bass can feel a bit uneven, especially at higher volumes. If the electric Ram keeps the same setup, you might want to keep your options open for an upgrade down the line. It all depends on what you value more. convenience or that perfect sound quality. Either way, it’s awesome you’re looking into reserving an EV Ram! 🚗🔊
