Hi!

My Limited Longhorn's engine has died after only 2000 miles. I have to buy another one from outside the US. The shipment would need authorization from Europe. After one week, the authorization is still off. What can I do to hasten the process? I have already waited too long with the diagnosis and stuff...

Might be worth contacting the dealer. Sorry about your engine! You could try pushing your dealer to expedite the authorization process or even contact Dodge’s customer service directly. Sometimes putting a bit more pressure on them can speed things up.

that’s frustrating ! Have you considered exploring other authorized suppliers outside of the one you’re waiting on? reaching out to a different supplier in Europe or even another region can speed up the process. It might also help to get your dealer involved more directly. They often have internal ways to escalate issues like this. maybe try looking into expedited shipping options, sometimes those come at a premium but could save you valuable time. Hope you get your Longhorn back on the road soon!

sounds rough, only 2,000 miles and already facing such a big issue. Have you tried contacting the supplier directly to see what’s holding up the authorization? It might give you some insight into where the holdup is. Also, have you checked whether there’s any way for the dealer to speed up things through their corporate channels? Sometimes it’s all about getting the right person involved to make things move faster. Sometimes having an angry mood pushes them to work quicker

after only 2,000 miles, seriously unfortunate! If you’ve already waited this long with no authorization, escalate the situation! Reach out to Dodge’s customer service directly and explain that this delay is impacting you heavily. They might be able to put pressure on the authorization team in Europe or at least give you a clearer timeline. You could also ask your dealership if they can use any priority shipping channels—sometimes dealerships have access to faster routes that aren’t publicly available. If the engine is a warranty replacement, they may have more options at their disposal. Hopeful you get a better response soon!

Thanks for the ideas, everyone! I got the authorization sorted. After a lot of back and forth with both the dealer and Dodge's customer service, they managed to get the approval expedited.

They even arranged priority shipping for the engine. It is on the way right now. So, my truck is going back on the road soon. Have a great one.
