I finished installing the Fitcam X in my '24 Limited. Pretty straightforward install, and the camera quality is decent. However, I'm a bit disappointed with a few things. First, it conflicts with Android Auto, so I can't use both at the same time. Also, the video clips are only 1 minute long, which makes reviewing footage a pain. Hoping they release a software update to fix these problems.

The Android Auto issue is a bummer. it’s surprising they haven’t fixed it. I’ve seen people mention it, so you’re not alone, I can totally see how that would be annoying when you're trying to review a longer drive or catch important details. Hopefully, Fitcam steps up and rolls out a software update to make things smoother. It might be worth shooting their support team a message just to see if they’re aware of it or if an update’s in the works. Sometimes, when enough people mention it, they move a little quicker on the fix! 🤔

I’ve been thinking about picking one up for a while now, so I’m really curious to hear more about how it’s been working for you. That Android Auto issue, though, is such a bummer. I rely on it every day, so I can see how that’d be a pretty big dealbreaker. who wants to give up a feature like that? And the short video clips thing would definitely get on my nerves, especially when you're trying to review something important. Have you tried messing around with the settings to see if there’s any way to extend the recording time, or is it just locked in place? Sometimes there are hidden options or workarounds, but if not, let’s hope they roll out an update soon to fix both issues. It’s frustrating when you invest in a product and then deal with these kinds of bugs. Hopefully, they’re already working on something. 🤷‍♂️

Sounds like you’ve got a bit of a mixed bag with the Fitcam X! It’s great to hear the install went smoothly. that’s always a relief. but that Android Auto conflict sounds like a real hassle. Maybe there’s some sort of setting to disable the Fitcam’s wireless connection while using Android Auto? It’s definitely not the perfect fix, but it could be a quick workaround if you really need both to run at the same time. I totally get why that’d be frustrating, having to piece together all those short segments can get tedious fast. If they don’t roll out a software update soon, maybe combining the clips using a video editor could make it a bit easier to manage?

It’s not ideal, but at least you wouldn’t have to keep jumping between clips to see what happened. Hopefully, they’re working on something better, though! 🙏

awesome to hear the camera quality is good, but I totally get why the Android Auto issue would be a dealbreaker for you. It’s surprising they haven’t addressed that yet, especially with so many people relying on Android Auto these days. Hopefully, they’ve got a software update in the pipeline to fix it soon because having those 1-minute clips would drive me nuts too when it comes to reviewing footage. Have you checked their forums or tried reaching out to support yet? Sometimes they drop hints on upcoming updates there, and maybe if enough people mention it, they’ll speed things up. 😁
