After leaving my truck parked for three days, I got a low battery warning from the Drone app. The truck wouldn’t start, flashing and beeping nonstop, so I disconnected the battery, charged it, and restarted it. While it ran, warning lights stayed on for days, so I visited the dealer for a battery check, code clearing, and an oil change.

Before the visit, I turned off passive arming and left the IGLA fob in the truck, not realizing it doesn’t disable hijack mode, which triggered during service. The dealer blamed the alarm system for ignition issues, recommended removing it, and claimed the truck was unsafe to drive.

I took the truck back to the installer, who confirmed nothing was altered by the dealer. For those with IGLA, how do you avoid these issues during service visits?

Any numbers/data of a draw on the system? They should have given them to you.
If they suspect the alarm, they should be able to isolate it by temporarily disconnecting power to the system. That would prove whether it’s the root cause. Stellantis/FCA/Ram dealerships are known to blame aftermarket add-ons for electrical issues, often recommending removal before further testing. However, the burden should be on them to demonstrate the system is causing the problem. I wish you good luck.
