Hey there, quick question: is it doable to put a 5th wheel hitch in the bed of a Ramcharger? I'm wondering if there's anything under the bed that might mess with the install. Any of you know?

We don’t have all the deets yet since the production models are still under wraps, so it’s not totally clear at the moment. But from what we can see of the Ram platform, it looks like it could totally work.

What’s your game plan for the Ramcharger?

You can absolutely install a 5th wheel hitch in a Ramcharger bed, but it’s going to take a bit of planning. 😅 You’ll need to make sure there’s nothing under the bed that would interfere with the mounting rails or brackets. Some models might have crossmembers or other components that could get in the way, so it’s worth giving the underside a good check before going ahead. A lot of people also install bed liners, and sometimes those can cause a bit of a headache if they’re not flush. As long as you double-check those things, you should be good to go! It’s definitely doable with the right setup.

it’s possible! be mindful of the under-bed clearance, especially if your Ramcharger has any additional components like suspension upgrades or custom fuel tanks. Some owners have mentioned having to slightly modify or reposition certain parts underneath, but it’s usually manageable. Make sure you’re choosing a hitch system that’s rated for your towing needs and bed length, though. Depending on what you're planning to haul, you might want to invest in a sliding hitch for better maneuverability. But yeah, no major roadblocks unless you’ve got something funky going on underneath! 😂

👍 It’s definitely doable, but take a look under the bed first. Some Rams have a few crossbars or frame supports that might need to be worked around or even drilled through. If everything checks out, a standard 5th wheel hitch should fit just fine. I’ve seen plenty of guys set them up without too much trouble.

Just make sure your bed can handle the weight and wear, and as long as you’re working with a solid install kit, you shouldn’t run into any issues.

You can fit a 5th wheel hitch in the Ramcharger, but you gotta make sure nothing underneath the bed is in the way. I've heard of people running into issues with crossmembers or wiring that had to be moved. But overall, if the bed’s clear, you should be able to install one without too much fuss.

If you’re not sure, a quick peek under the truck will give you the answer. Worst case, you might need to get a custom mount made, but that's pretty rare. 😓
