I thought I’d share my journey with aftermarket mufflers on my 2019 RAM 1500 Rebel 5.7L. I've tried MBRP, B2fab, and now a Valved Exhaust, each giving me a whole new sound. Here’s how each stacked up:

MBRP: Local and affordable, the sound was seriously loud and raspy, perfect for a muscle-car vibe. Loved it, but my neighbors weren’t as thrilled, especially during those cold morning starts.

B2fab: A bit quieter and more refined, this one really impressed me and my RAM buddies. Even took the resonators off for an even cleaner tone, though morning starts still felt like a wake-up call for the whole block.

Valved Exhaust: Game-changer. When the valve’s closed, it’s quieter than stock, my dog doesn’t even know when I’m home! With the valve open, it’s a full-on straight pipe, crazy loud and super fun for drives back home.

Have you noticed a significant difference in performance or fuel efficiency with each of the muffler options you've tried?

So what muffler did you end up with? Is the rest of your exhaust system stock? How was the installation process? Did you have a shop install it?

I've been through my share of mufflers too, and it sounds like you nailed it with the valved exhaust. That's the beauty of it, the aggressive rumble. I bet that straight-pipe mode on the valved exhaust is awesome on a nice open road. Have fun with it!
