Just curious - what are you all planning to tow with your Ram 1500 REV or Ramcharger? Got a boat, some motorcycles, a camper, or maybe something wild and unexpected? I’m not just wondering about the towing capacity, but wanna know how it messes with your range too. Would love to hear what you’ve got in mind!

I’m towing a hefty 6,000-pound travel trailer and try to keep my trips under 320 miles a day. With my Ram 1500, I get around 10 mpg when the trailer’s hitched, which means we’re fueling up every 150 miles or so. Those pit stops take about 30 minutes, so we’re hoping to avoid them more than necessary. Ideally, we’d like to charge up quickly (within 30-45 minutes) to keep our travel days from dragging on.

Fingers crossed that the new Rev will have what it takes to make our adventures way smoother!

I’ve got a small camper I’m planning to tow with my Ram 1500 REV, mainly for weekend getaways. I’ve noticed the range does drop a bit with the extra weight, especially on hilly roads, but it’s manageable with charging stops along the way. Super curious on how it’s going for others too! 😍

I’ll be towing a couple of motorcycles with mine! Not the big bikes, but hey two! Haven’t taken it on a long trip yet, but I tested it out for a shorter drive. The range definitely takes a bit of a hit, nothing too crazy, but I’d say plan on a 20-30% range reduction depending on your load and terrain. Charging stations near the trails are a must-have for me, so I’m mapping out routes in advance. Planning is part of the trip.

For me, it’s all about hauling my fishing boat, which is around 2,000 - 2,500 pounds loaded. I’ve done some short trips and found that range drops by about 25% when I’m towing. I make sure to plan charging stops along the way, especially if I’m heading to remote lakes. If you’re towing heavier stuff, it’s definitely worth mapping out chargers ahead of time, EV range and towing make for an interesting combo! I also gotta make sure that there's space for my boat when I charge. 😵

I’ve got plans to take my small camper on some road trips! Tested it out around town, and yeah, the range dips, but it’s not as bad as I thought. I still got to get used to having that camper behind my truck. Charging stations on the route make all the difference. Loving that I can finally take the EV on camping trips, it’s like the best of both worlds! Can’t wait to hear what everyone else is towing! Maybe ideas on managing camper vans during a trip with our EV. 🤔
