Trailer Brake Controller Installation

So I’m in the thick of installing a trailer brake controller on my dad’s 2025 Ram, but I'm having trouble finding the location for the control box. I’ve been poking around under the dash and stumbled upon this square black plastic box where I thought the bracket was supposed to go. Anyone out there done this install on a 2025? Where’d you dig up the wires? Appreciate any tips or advice you can throw my way! TIA

So I'm trying to get my old Curt brake controller from my dad’s 2021 RAM to work with my new 2025 model, which ofcourse, doesn't come with the towing package. This time around, I couldn’t find any loose wiring harnesses under the dash like before. But I did spot a connector behind the driver's side rear seat. Any chance that’s the hookup I need?

So, as I know for the 2025 Ram, you can find the trailer brake controller wiring righ under the the driver's side dash. It must be near the parking brake or fuse box. Keep looking for the factory wiring harness, which is often tucked away in that area.
The harness should be there if it is a factory controller. Use the owner's manual, too, and see. Also, find the number part and ask about it at a dealership.
