Just had a crazy experience - got T-boned while crossing a street! The other car crumpled pretty bad, and my RAM even did a 180 on impact. Thankfully, everyone involved walked away without a scratch.

The bummer? My previously pristine truck needs a complete rebuild - looks like a month at the shop to replace everything and check the frame. Anyone else been through a similar ordeal with a major repair?

I can’t even imagine how stressful that must have been. I had a bit of a situation last year, but luckily mine wasn’t as bad. My truck got hit from the side while I was parked, and even though the damage wasn’t as severe, it still took a couple of weeks to get everything sorted out. They ended up having to replace the door, and I was surprised at how long the frame alignment check took. It felt like forever just waiting for updates!

But you know what? At the end of the day, I was just grateful that everyone was okay and that nobody got hurt—that's the most important part. It’s a relief to hear you’re all good !

I’m so glad to hear everyone’s alright! That 180 spin must have been absolutely terrifying—what a wild experience! After something like that, I’d definitely recommend keeping a close eye on the frame after the repairs. I went through something similar a few years back when I got T-boned. The repair shop assured me that my frame was fine, but I started noticing some weird alignment issues a few months later.

It’s a good reminder that even if everything looks good at first glance, those little tweaks can sometimes hide problems that don’t show up until later. Make sure to have them do a thorough check of everything—especially the suspension and alignment—just to be safe. It’s worth it to catch any potential issues early on.

Good to hear everyone’s safe! that’s definitely the most important thing! I haven’t been in a T-bone myself, but my RAM took a pretty gnarly hit a while back, so I totally get how frustrating the repair process can be. It feels like it takes forever, especially when they’ve got to replace big parts or check out the frame. But trust me, once everything’s fixed and you’re back on the road, it’ll feel as good as new. The downtime is the worst part, but hang in there—it’ll be worth it when you’re cruising again!

that’s rough! I haven’t had to go through a big rebuild myself, but if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s to choose your body shop wisely. Definitely ask around and find a place that knows their way around trucks like the RAM. A friend of mine had his in the shop after a bad wreck, and having a solid mechanic really made a difference in how the repairs turned out. Fingers crossed yours comes out even better than before, sometimes they come back looking like they’re fresh off the lot!
