Ramcharger or Ram EV?

Would you pick a pure EV truck like the REV over the Ramcharger if you plan to tow some stuff or do road trips? Some people only need to tow light loads like a boat so the REV's range may be sufficient for their needs. However, if you need to tow, or have concerns over needing to tow then the Ramcharger appears to be best.

Which are you going with given the choice?
 
Since I'm towing a small camping trailer during the camping months, I'd probably consider the REV over a pure EV. But my mind could be changed after I hear more about the towing abilities of the pure EV.
 
If towing is a big part of your driving life, I’d lean towards the Ramcharger. With a hybrid setup, you get the best of both worlds, electric efficiency for daily driving, but the added range and power for towing when you need it. 💪

While the REV is great for light loads, if you're pulling a heavy trailer or taking long road trips, the hybrid powertrain in the Ramcharger just gives you that extra peace of mind, especially when charging stations are sparse.

I’m leaning towards the REV for light towing and general road trips. The range is decent, and I like the idea of fully committing to electric. But if you plan to do any heavy-duty towing, like a large camper or a couple of ATVs, then yeah, the Ramcharger makes more sense. The range on EVs still drops quite a bit when towing heavy loads, and the last thing you want is range anxiety on the open road.

Both are okay-ish. It really boils down to what you do everyday. 😁
 
The Ramcharger seems like a safer bet if towing is a concern. Sure, the REV could work for smaller, lighter loads like a boat, but heavy towing might push it too far. The hybrid system gives you more range and flexibility, especially for longer trips. If I were regularly hauling or road-tripping, I’d probably go with the Ramcharger just to avoid the stress of finding charging stations or losing too much range when towing. I'm still cagey with those limited EV charging stations.

it depends on the type of road trips you’re planning. If you're mostly sticking to highways and light towing like boats or small trailers, the REV might be all you need, plus it’s eco-friendlier for everyday use. But if you’re venturing off the beaten path or pulling heavier gear, I’d go Ramcharger all day, better range for remote areas and less worry about finding chargers. The heavier load, RAMCharger sounds better with those.
